As an experienced health professional and a mother to two young girls, Madeleine is a passionate advocate of good maternal and paediatric nutrition. She empathises with mothers juggling family life, and loves nothing more than helping them regain optimal health without compromising nutritional status.
Having struggled with food intolerances most of her life, she is also enthusiastic about gastrointestinal health and enjoys helping clients with coeliac disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other digestive disorders. She applies the low FODMAP diet in managing some of these conditions and favours a client-centred approach.
In addition to being a Dietitian, Madeleine is also a Registered Nurse in a General Practice setting. She has extensive experience in healthcare, having nursed for more than 15 years in Australia and London. Her nursing background made her realise how essential a nutritious diet is to chronic disease prevention and management, which led her to pursue studies in Nutrition.
Madeleine believes eating should be enjoyable, so she steers clients away from restrictive eating patterns; she is currently training in the non-diet approach to weight management. She looks forward to helping you achieve your best health by establishing realistic nutrition goals with you, not for you.
Madeleine is a member of the Dietitians Association of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
